Rediscovering My Mark It’s a Long Story Dress
This is the Mark It’s a Long Story Dress. I bought it a few years ago but it's been a while since I've worn it. To be honest with you after a not so flattering photo I took in which I looked heavier and much older, I shelved it. In my mind I kept remembering that stupid picture and whenever I rifled through my closet I would just pass over it. That is until this weekend.
With the temperatures exceeding 100 degrees I was looking for a cool summer dress to wear. I was running late and in no mood for either Body Illusions or anything of a fabric that would show sweat. It was definitely a puddles of sweat day. I noticed a piece of multicolored fabric stuffed in a corner of my closet and realizing I haven't worn it in a while I put it on.
Taking a glance in the mirror I wondered why I had hated it so much.
Then just a few steps from being out the door and feeling the heat on my legs I wondered what I was thinking wearing something so long.
Determined not to change outfits I decided to give my legs some air and quickly tucked the ends of the dress into my shorts. I now have a new love for my dress!
Check out the different looks below for some ideas for ways to get more out your maxi. You can wear it long in original maxi style, tuck the ends into a mini dress, or wear as a skirt with a blouse.
And yes THIS Is why I Need Red Heels In MY Life!
