Copper & Silver Cut Crease with Avon Eye Shadow Palettes
For a change of pace, I created this copper halo with a contrasting silver cut crease eye makeup look using Avon eye shadow palettes. Instead of my usual smokey eye with darker colors in the outer-v only, I tried more of a halo this time by adding black eyeshadow closer to the inner corner followed by just a little gold in the inner corner and in the center of my eyelid.
Lately, I've been leaning towards warm gold and copper tones and the Monopop Eyeshadow palette has a beautiful copper red that I've been using a lot. I also used the Send Roses eye palette which has very shimmery shades and rose tones that I think look beautiful with the Monopop Eyeshadow palette.
For the wing and inner corner, I used a black shadow from the Urban Skyline Avon Eye Shadow Quad. The silver accent line was made with an old Mark Hookup Eyeliner in QuickSilver.
To help lighter colors stand out more against my chocolate skin tone I find it helps to use the lightest concealer possible, so I used Cashmere Complexion Longwear Concealer in Sugar as a base instead of my usual concealer shade, Waffle. To help bring the silver line out even more I lined the area with a Glimmersticks eyeliner pencil in White Awake before applying the silver eyeliner. It really helped brighten the silver line.
