Another fabulous vacation with The Avon Company for my bucket list!

I earned another 7-day, 6-night vacation this time to the Dominican Republic. It was also my 1st time there and let me tell you… I was utterly blown away… again.

To be honest I was initially nervous about traveling so soon after quarantine ended but for a mostly outdoor event at a hotel with 5-star reviews and strict cleaning and mask restrictions in place, I felt much better. Which allowed me to enjoy a much-needed getaway. Especially after missing the previous year’s trip to Jamaica due to full quarantine.

Hanging out beside the pool or ocean sipping free drinks and delicious food is food for my soul.

For this trip, we stayed at the beautiful Hyatt Ziva & Zilara in Cap Cana. As a designer, these were probably my favorite hotel designs. The buildings and the views were stunning from the moment you stepped in. You could stand at the entrance and look out across all the pools straight to the ocean

On top of that the staff was 6 out of 5 stars. They went out of their way time and time again.

One night for dinner I got into a conversation with a restaurant manager about something I was craving and he recommended another restaurant on the other side of the hotel. He then called them to make a reservation for me AND walked me over there, making sure that the other restaurant manager saw and seated me!

When you greet them and ask how they’re doing they always reply “excellent” and I have to say their service truly was excellent.

And let me tell you the food was delicious!

I think the best meals here were the seafood dishes and the desserts. Literally, every time I went inside, I’d grab some type of pastry from one of the many restaurants as I passed through. It’s unfortunate that I could only eat so much. lol

This was my 1st trip after I changed my diet to eat less processed food and more veggies (I think it was just 1-2 months prior). But the hotel staff again was just super! They went out of their way to help me get fresh lemon water and celery juice in the mornings even though they didn’t have it on the menu. Whatever we asked they would find a way to make it happen.

They also had some bomb suggestions for meals. One dish that I still dream about (I had it twice and got some friends hooked too) was actually 2 entrees that the waiter suggested I try together - shrimp risotto and beef if I remember correctly. The meat was so juicy and soft then the risotto and the creamy shrimp sauce made it so rich. It was hands down the best meal I had.

This was another unforgettable experience thanks to being a representative at The Avon Company and my wonderful customers. Without them these events wouldn’t be possible. Thank you all! 💕
