Quick and Hydrating Natural Hair Wash Routine

I'm super excited about how much healthier my hair has been getting. Transitioning to natural hair definitely had its challenges but I think I'm finally finding a balance now. A few months ago I added a hydrating shampoo to my wash routine and it has made a huge difference for my usually super dry ends.

I cannot stress enough the difference between hydration and moisture. For years I piled on various oils but my hair was always dry, especially at the ends and I just kept adding oils, lotions, and treatments with no change. When I started using the Elastine Botanicals Cherry Blossom & Hyaluronic Acid shampoo and conditioner I noticed a difference right away!

You might remember from past posts like this one that Hyaluronic acid is great for retaining moisture because it holds 1000 times its weight in water. In addition, these also include babassu seed oil, chamomile flower water, and lemon balm flower, leaf, and stem water for smoothness and shine.

Among the ingredients you won’t find are products that make your hair look good on the surface but don’t actually improve it like silicones, parabens, sulfates, mineral oils, and triclocarbans. Now that I've learned to cut those products out and hydrate my hair, THEN moisturize with oils, I'm seeing healthier locks and less breakage. YAY
