Have you seen the new additions to the Anew Vitamin C line!? I love them all! All the benefits of Vitamin C skincare like brightening and evening skin tone that can become dull over time from aging or free radicals; but in new formulas for lips, face, and body.
Whether you loved the old Anew Vitamin C products (previously shared this post Why Your Skin Needs A Daily Dose of Vitamin C) or if you’re new to the line here’s what’s new:
✔Anew Vitamin C Dry Body Oil
✔Anew Vitamin C Smoothing Lip Scrub
✔Anew Vitamin C Overnight Lip Mask
✔Anew Vitamin C Illuminating Body Serum
✔Anew Vitamin C Overnight Radiant Mask
Key ingredients: Vitamin C & Sugar
Scent: Little to none. Similar to most lip balms
Benefits: Exfoliation, helps brighten and even skin tone
The smoothing lip scrub comes in a jar (white jar with orange text) that’s about the same size as a standard eye cream jar but don’t let the smaller size fool you. You don’t have to use much to get good exfoliation and as you begin to use it regularly you’ll need less. It also comes with a little spatula that you can use instead of your fingers (which I love) to help keep the product free of contamination.
I've been using the Lip scrub every other night to keep my lips smooth. The texture reminds me of sugar and coconut oil. You can even feel the sugar dissolving as it gently exfoliates. After you finish exfoliating and rinse off the moisturizing feeling remains.
I was nervous about a sugar scrub at first because of my acne-prone skin but after a few weeks of use, I still have no breakouts. I think because it gets rinsed and whipped off after use, only the results stay.
Key Ingredients: Vitamin C & Shea Butter
Scent: A hint of oranges
Benefits: Moisturizes, softens, helps brighten and even skin tone, and helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
The Overnight lip mask comes in the same sized jar as the lip scrub (orange jar with white text) and also includes a spatula. The duo looks adorable together on my nightstand!
At first glance, the texture reminds me of a solid syrup but I promise you, there’s no stickiness here. Although it goes on like syrup or even like a diluted version of petroleum jelly it doesn’t sit on top of your skin or have that tacky, pore-clogging feeling. I was really surprised to find that in the mornings I don’t wake up feeling like I’m wearing lip balm, just like I have really, really soft lips.
I’ve always applied a little lip balm before bed so now I replaced my nightly lip balm with the Overnight lip mask. The moisture that the scrub and mask give LASTS 💦. My lips have never felt so soft and hydrated. But as I mentioned before, you don’t have to use the scrub to see great results. You can use the overnight lip mask alone and I’ve even used a little in the morning.
Key ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Sunflower seed oil, and Jojoba oil
Scent: Little to none
Benefits: hydration, helps to brighten your skin, and visibly even skin tone.
If you haven’t tried a dry body oil before think olive oil meets serum. It’s not greasy or tacky and as you massage it in it absorbs really quickly leaving just a soft hydrated feeling.
The Dry body oil also has become like a serum treatment for my body. I make sure to apply it to areas where I have hyperpigmentation or dry patches. Usually, this will be the 1st thing I put on after a shower to lock in the hydration.
Key Ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Panthenol (Vitamin B5), Sunflower Seed Oil
Scent: Fresh oranges
Benefits: locks in moisture, helps visibly brighten and improve skins texture, light-reflecting pigments for a luminous look
If the dry body oil is a cross between an oil and a serum, the illuminating body serum feels like a cross between a dry body oil and a lotion. The tall jar reminds me of a hair mouse bottle but when you pump it, instead of foam, a thin, sherbert-colored, sparkly liquid comes out. As you massage it in it absorbs as quickly as the dry body oil leaving just a kiss of sparkles to dance in the light.
When I’m going out I apply the Illuminating body serum to my arms, neck, and legs. The way that the little flacks of sparkle catch the light when you move is perfect for sunny summer days or for a little extra attention for nights out. Plus it smells really, really good! Like sweet ripe tangerines.
Key Ingredients: Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Niacinamide, Shea butter, Sunflower seed oil
Scent: Oranges
Benefits: improves skin texture and tone, boosts radiance, moisturizes, and nourishes
Lastly, if you haven’t tried it, you HAVE to try the Overnight radiant mask. I use it as the last step in my nighttime routine. Seriously, you can’t get enough vitamin C in your regimen it has so many great benefits but this mask also contains niacinamide (you might remember from this post Avon Isa Knox Anew LX Ultimate Skincare Collection).
I’ll take all the niacinamide I can get!
But this mask is very light and has no stickiness or heaviness. The formula has more of a tapioca texture that jiggles in such a happy way when you scoop it out of the jar and when you put it on it feels more like something in between a serum and dry body oil.
When I use it at night I wake up to fresh feeling skin and no heaviness. In a way, it reminds me of the Supergreens Cooling Gel mentioned in my Introducing Clean Beauty With Farm Rx post but slightly thicker.
I’m so glad to see more Vitamin C products! Our whole body can benefit from repair from free radical damage and who doesn’t love when their skin looks radiant. Find the entire Anew Vitamin C line here
