OOTD: Tory Burch Kerrington Tote & Nerd Swag
OOTD: Nerd swag meets work wear.
Today I'm featuring two new wardrobe changes my recently colored hair & my new Tory Burch Kerrington Square Tote bag. This past August, after years of debating whether or not to change my
hair color I finally decided that I wanted to go with red. A bold flaming red with gold highlights! I found a swanky salon on the LES, and with "you get what you pay for" in mind I thought that for what they were charging I would definitely get my moneys worth. Unfortunately the stylist I went to didn't know the difference between full red and just gold highlights, even after I specifically said I don't want gold highlights because everyone I know has gold highlights.
Anyway, to make a long sad, frustrating, $200+ story short, I ended up with gold highlights and had to visit a neighborhood salon for it to be redone; which cost a third of the price. But, most importantly my hair was finally red!
Feeling bold I decided to bring out this multicolored Tory Burch tote. I had tucked it away waiting for a "special occasion outfit" but got tired of waiting for a day that might not arrive any time soon and figured a random Monday would suffice.
Because the bag has so many colors my first thought was to wear a neutral outfit to make the bag stand out. Then I came across my Doctor Who Companions t-shirt. It was a BBC exclusive for San Diego Comic-Con in 2015 (#whovian #fangirl).
I thought the red letters that spell "companions" within the white letters was a great way to compliment the bag and I just went with it.
Now there's a little bit of red everywhere.
