Comfortable, innovative, and offers great sound.
I’ve gone through a lot of headphones and earbuds over the years and the LG Tone Fre FP8 is by far the most comfortable. They don’t fall out when I’m working out and there are no wires to get caught in my clothes, hair, or my face mask. They fit snuggly with no pressure on my ear so I can comfortably wear them all day. With other earbuds, I sometimes get headaches after a few hours but I actually forget that I’m wearing these.
Each one comes with the usual 3 silicone ear gel sizes, but these gels are medical grade and hypoallergenic to help prevent irritation. The case also has a built in UV-C light technology which is a germicidal UV to kill pathogens and bacteria in the speaker mesh as it charges. In just 5 minutes of charging you can be rid of up to 99.9% of the bacteria on the speaker mesh plus an additional hour of standard play time.
Have you ever been on a call in a noisy place like the subway or supermarket making it hard for the person you’re on the line with to hear you? With the Tone Free FP8 app you can turn on a feature called whisper mode which allows you to hold the right earbud to your mouth and speak softy while still being heard loud and clear on the other end. Designed with 3 microphones (an outer mic to reduce ambient noise, an inner mic, and a voice mic) your voice will sound natural and clear, for extra call clarity.
Whether you’re listening to music, a call, or a movie the most important feature for earbuds is probably the sound quality. What Is ANC?
The acronym ANC stands for active noise cancellation. In essence, ANC is the process of removing unwanted sound from the environment by generating a sound wave exactly out of phase with the original sound.
In theory, noise canceling headphones take any external noise and use it to create an "anti-noise" signal that cancels out the external noise so that only what you want to hear reaches your ears. This technology is used primarily in very noisy environments such as airplanes and subways where reducing unwanted background noise can be crucial for productivity or comfort.
The FP8 model allows you to turn the notice cancellation on or off so you can decide if you want to tune out the background noise or if you want to be able to hear whats happening in your surroundings.
The Best Ways to Charge Your Headphones
Charging via USB-C
The LG Tone earbuds can be charged using the included charging case and a standard USB-C cable. The cable plugs into a port at the back of the case and the earbuds charge while the UVnano case sanitizes. You can even charge the case and the earbuds at the same time. One full charge gives approximately 10 hours of standard play time
Charging via Power Bank
To use an external power bank as an intermediary between your earbuds and a wall socket, simply plug an appropriate USB-A to USB-C cable or adapter into a spare port on your power bank and then insert this end into the charging case's port. That way if you’re on the go you’ll have backup power from the case and power bank.
