Lacy Red Dress 3 Ways for The Holidays
Hey Lovely, I know it’s been a while but today I wanted to share a beautiful little lacy dress I found on Amazon. At first, I was a little leary of getting it because I thought I’d just wear it on special occasions but I’ve actually been able to style it in different ways, for dressy occasions & work for both summer & winter!
It’s work and church “appropriate”, not see-through because it’s lined with a solid jersey material with a collar that goes up to my neck and cap sleeves. The collar, hem, and sleeves have a cute scallop pattern from the lace which makes me feel like I’m wearing a rose. It hits below the knee on me and I’m 5’-4”.
The fit is true to size. I got a size large and it’s not too tight. Both the lining and the lace materials stretch so it’s super comfy. Fitted but not suffocating and not baggy either.
It’s perfect for holiday parties with some green and white or Christmas accessories. I paired it with a green tartan skirt from New York and Company and a tan blazer from j. crew below (sorry, both are no longer available). For workwear in the winter, I’ve also paired it with this black sweater from Avon when they used to have a mark. clothing line, a black DKNY bag, and black pumps.
If red is not your color don’t worry, it’s available on Amazon in 15 different colors! Every time I wear it I have to resist the urge to go back and buy the black and tan versions.
