How to Use Canva to Create Cohesive Brand Graphics

One of my favorite tools for creating social media graphics is Canva. It’s a free online tool that’s also available as a mobile app. It’s easy to use and great for designing cohesive images across your brand. It’s really helpful to have colors and fonts that you can use in the various images on your different social media channels to really make your post unique to you. With Canva, you can save those settings plus find free content you can add to spice up your images.

To start, select 2 main colors that you want to represent your brand and use consistently across your posts. You can use a few more colors later but these 2 should be the ones that show up regularly. They’ll serve as an anchor when you do ue other colors.

Next select a couple of fonts that you like that are easy to read at different sizes and on the various channels you will be using.

In canva you can save these colors so that you can find them easily when you’re creating different designs. You can also save your designs as templates for future designs so that you don’t have to start from scratch every time you need a thumbnail, or post.

I use canva to design my blog title images, my YouTube thumbnails, Instagram stories, and quotes for my social media channels. Stay tuned to my YouTube channel for a video where I’ll show you how you can create a thumbnail for YouTube videos.
