This weekend the weather was perfect, cool & breezy, and I felt like being in a vibrant girly kind of mood so I took my latest wardrobe addition out for a spin for the first time. Once again, I won't lie to you I was

not excited about the Soft Flutter Sleeve Dress when I saw it in the brochure. I love my solids and I was afraid of all the colors in this print. LOL. But, I thought the sleeves were cute and was drawn the the overall playful feminine look.

After getting beyond that initial nervousness I actually put the dress on and I just kept finding new reasons to love it!

Firstly the colors are more muted and well blended so the pattern looks like a beautiful floral. In hindsight I'm not sure why the colors made me so servous initially.

Secondly, it has pockets which I didn't realize when I ordered it. YAY! Real pockets that can actually hold stuff, not those "penny pockets" designers like to put on women's clothing. I LOVE pockets so that alone is enough too make this dress a favorite.

Thirdly, after putting it on and really looking at it in the mirror I realized that I had the perfect handbag to to with it this Laser Cut Tote Bag. (Get it now, while it's on sale, before it's sold out. It's one of my favorite spring & summer bags) As I mentioned in a recent post, I love when you find a new item that goes perfectly with something you already have in your closet? I'm probably more excited about it than I should be but it made my day!

Overall, I was surprised - again - to really love an item that I didn't think would rank highly on my favorites list.

Some things to keep in mind are that the waist band hits just under the bust and fits true to size, to give that hourglass silhouette, and it doesn't stretch so order your size if that will be a problem for you. I took the risk and ordered a size small, although I'm definitely a medium, so that band serves as my reminder to suck in & stand up straight. I prefer a fitted look but a looser fit will also look girly and playful.
